Most couples get married in the summer, when the sun is often hot and very hot outside. Sometimes such a holiday turns into a torment because of the heat, and guests sigh calmly only in the evening. Why don’t we have a party after 6:00 p.m. in that case? We tell you how to organize an evening wedding ceremony, what features to consider and give the best timing of the day.
The pros and cons of an evening wedding
In the evening, the party automatically becomes romantic and intimate due to darkness and special lighting. An important plus – everyone will sleep well, you and the contractors will not have to get up at 6 am to catch up everywhere, because the preparation will be in the morning. In addition, evening wedding ceremonies are usually shorter, which means that you will save on some professionals, because many people charge for services depending on the number of hours.
Shorter celebrations are not only a plus but also a minus. It can fly very quickly, and you won’t have time to enjoy this day. Some guests will leave before the official end because they want to sleep or the road will take them a long time. In the afternoon, not everyone will be awake, so it is important to organize the wedding in such a way that guests have no reason to peck their noses. Finally, not all photographers are able to take beautiful pictures in the dark or under electric light. You’d think so, wouldn’t you? Only this means that you may not have any quality photos from the main part of the holiday, so be careful.

How to organize an evening wedding ceremony
Day and time. Choose a wedding date so that guests do not have to go to work the next day. Ideally, if it is Saturday, then everyone will sleep on Sunday and will not be tired (as it can happen on Friday). Determining the moment of registration, be guided by what time in what day the sun will set and assign it during or after sunset (depends on whether you want to say wedding vows in the beams of the setting sun or in the light of the stars). It’s a mistake for couples to hold a ceremony at the end of the evening, closer to 12 o’clock in the morning, because by this time nobody has the strength, and the impression of a solemn moment is greatly blurred.

The site. The whole salt of an evening wedding in the playground with spectacular lighting or views, so choose a place wisely. A country hotel or manor house is best suited, and in the city a loft or restaurant with large windows and access to the balcony. Registration. Evening wedding ceremony becomes a fairytale only with proper lighting, so pay a lot of attention to this issue. It’s better to come to your favorite site in the evening with the decorator to see how it looks at the right time of day and where you need extra light. It is important to light up the main areas of the holiday: registration, banquet, lounge, dance floor, sweet table. At a late wedding, it will be reasonable to abandon the intricate floral compositions on the tables in favor of candles or lanterns. Some restaurants prohibit candles because of the high fire risk, but they can always be replaced with alternatives:

The organization. Consider the essential moments of the evening wedding ceremony, which are often forgotten. First of all, they are important for a summer wedding in nature:
- Mosquitoes and gnats activate at sunset and dusk, especially in nature. Take care of your guests and provide them with repellents.
- After sunset, it becomes much colder outside, so put down the blankets (the number of guests should be equal to the number of guests) or rent street heaters.
- Find out how long you can play music and make a lot of noise on the set. Site rules are usually in accordance with local laws. In most regions, loud music and noise are prohibited from 22 – 23.00.
- Some guests or contractors will need time to sleep over, so find out in advance.
Photos. Despite the fact that we have already mentioned this issue above, let us repeat: most photographers take bad pictures in the dark, in the twilight and in the dark, and with insufficient coverage. Request examples of images in the right light from the right person. If there are no examples, but the person convinces you of his skills, do not take any chances! You will not have a second chance at wedding photos. Be sure to take pictures with your fiancé both in the dark and in the light of day, before the wedding – at about 16 o’clock there comes a golden hour when the sun’s rays are scattered, and the light turns out to be soft and pleasant. The timing of the evening wedding. Guests should not be bored, so the wedding should be held boycottly, and large breaks, when the guests are not busy, should be avoided. Here is a sample schedule, adapt it as you like. We assumed that on this day the sun would set at 21.15 and the rest time at 23.00:
