A cup of strong black coffee, a favorite scent, five minutes alone… You can’t do that without it, can you? Do you like coffee so much that even at the wedding you want to emphasize it? Don’t say another word! We’ve come up with a modern way to play this drink at a holiday or even have a real coffee wedding for you.
Secrets of decoration
Thinking about flowers, it’s a matter of course asking for a wedding in coffee tones. What if you don’t like them? In this case, muffled smoky shades will be fine. Another option is the deep dark tones of brown, black and grey combined with metals.
When designing a coffee wedding, think about which direction you’d prefer: a warm family event when you want to sit by the fireplace and hide behind a blanket? Or a dynamic holiday with great music and charming baristas? If you doubt it, we’ll tell you that the first option is suitable for a chamber wedding, and the second one is good if there are a lot of people.
In the first case, the decor creates an atmosphere of relaxation and comfort. A room with wooden walls and tables, a fireplace, upholstered furniture and vintage details, which you can bring and yourself, walking along the flea markets. Choose light that is soft and warm, not bright under any circumstances. The main thing in creating the atmosphere is the inviting smell of your favorite coffee.
If you decide to make a youthful coffee wedding, be inspired by the best coffee shops. Main materials are steel and wood, colors are black, grey and brown. High wooden tables, metal chairs and mugs suspended from the ceiling. Behind the bar there is a barista pouring coffee, and behind its wall there is a slate board or a whole wall with chalk inscriptions.
What if you want a piece of your favorite beverage in the design, but there is no way to arrange the zone described above? The details will help:
- Jute bags or cans of coffee beans placed here and there.
- These same bags, made of tablecloths instead of tablecloths.
- Batteries of syrup bottles. Even if they don’t all, these bottles look authentic.
- Nice coffee mugs.
- Coffee beans scattered in strategic locations.
- Use of coffee blend names or country names instead of table numbers: guests will be more comfortable sitting at the first table than at the first one in Colombia or Brazil.
Clothes for young people and guests at a coffee wedding
Many sites encourage bridegrooms to wear a dark brown suit, and brides to wear a belt of this color to match the spirit of the wedding. We don’t think anybody needs it, any idea is good until it reaches extremes. Wear whatever you want, and if you want to reflect the theme in your clothes, choose muted colors. Ask your guests to come in these shades, too.
Coffee, coffee and coffee again
The main character of such a wedding after the bride and groom – of course, coffee! Everything should be perfect here.
Varieties. Choose a few: softer and brighter, with fruity notes and chocolate notes. You can ask to create a separate blend for you that will be brewed only at your event (also give guests bags of it).
In addition to regular coffee, serve decaf and tea: black, green and match. Water, lemonades and other soft drinks should also be on the tables. Think about ice-covered coffee or cold brew in the summer.
How to serve. The most spectacular way is a professional barista who will boil different kinds of drinks and do it well. There’s nothing sadder than drinking bad coffee at a coffee wedding.
The economy version is a rented coffee machine, but it won’t help you create an atmosphere. Place a waiter next to her or a corner where everyone can pour their espresso or Americano.
Try making paper cups with your initials or even ceramic coffee cups to order.
The menu. If the standard set of dishes changes, talk to the chef, finding out how he can help with the implementation of your idea. If this is not the case, set up a varied sweet table with appetizing coffee cakes.
Important little things
Invitations to coffee weddings should convey the atmosphere that awaits the guest at the party. Try handing everyone a jute bag of coffee, your names and your wedding date. Or hand out invitations on designer paper with coffee cup marks.
